Course Outline

The pupils will follow a school designed course developed using unique course content that enables our students to make connections to their personal and professional development.  This will take place through a variant of inquiry-based learning engagement which is then documented through a student portfolio.

Course Content

The curriculum will be based on three main inquiry based skills:

  • Concepts – change, connections, identities, perspectives, systems, well-bing
  • Content – local, personal and professional needs and interests of Year12 and 13 cohort. To reflect the South East employment skills needs.
  • Content – Career-related study, Community engagement, Diploma programme courses, informal learning, Language and cultural studies, personal life, Professional life and Reflective project.

Course Assessment

By the end of the course, students are expected to be able to demonstrate competency in the following five learning outcomes:

  • Develop and apply intrapersonal skills in a variety of contexts.
  • Develop and apply communication and interpersonal skills in a variety of contexts.
  • Develop and apply thinking skills in a variety of contexts
  • Develop and apply intercultural understanding in a variety of contexts.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the ethical implications of one’s choices and  action on self and others.

Career Opportunity and Future Study

Personal and professional skills underpin the support needed for professional and personal growth during and after the course.

It will prepare students for the future pathways of higher education, further training or employment.
